Things Are Heating Up at the Green Barn
May 4, 2015 | Events & Activities
Starting this week, the Green Barn will become an increasingly popular spot for special events of all kinds as a calendar of summer activities kicks in. If you’ve been waiting for a good reason to come check out what’s happening in our community, be sure to make note of the dates below and make plans to come have fun at the Green Barn!
The action picks up when Buti Yoga classes return to the Green Barn on May 5th. The weekly classes will take place on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm each week, featuring a unique blend of tribal dance and power yoga under the rafters of the Green Barn. The classes, led by certified instructor Katie Heatley, are just $10 per student per class ($8 for Carnes Crossroads residents), and your first class is free! Visit www.butiyoga.com for more information.
Carnes Crossroads Farmers’ Market
The Farmers’ Market returns to the Green Barn as a weekly event starting on May 6th. Join us on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 pm each week through August 8 to shop for fresh produce, baked goods, prepared foods and snacks, plus natural beauty products and locally designed clothing and accessories. Both cash and credit cards will be accepted and there is plenty of parking available.
Canes Crossroads Street Party
Our third annual Street Party will take place right outside our front door from 1-4 pm on Sunday, May 17th. Come to the Village Green and enjoy delicious offerings from some of Charleston’s favorite food trucks, live music, home tours and children’s activities, plus a special Sunday farmers’ market in the recently renovated Green Barn featuring produce and crafts from select local vendors.
Goose Creek Sounds of Summer: Dave Landeo Band
On June 12, the Dave Landeo Band will be performing at the Green Barn from 6-9 pm as part of the City of Goose Creek’s “Sounds of Summer” concert series. Bring the family, blankets, lawn chairs and dancing shoes for this free concert!
