Food Trucks for Hope is a new monthly event at Carnes Crossroads that offers residents and visitors from around the region an opportunity enjoy an eclectic selection of food and beverage options, live music and family entertainment, all while supporting some of the area’s non-profit organizations. Free to the public, the event takes place on the second Sunday of each month behind the Green Barn from noon until 5:00 pm.
Each “Food Trucks for Hope” event brings 10 – 15 food trucks, activities for kids, live music and other family-friendly entertainment to the fields surrounding the Green Barn, and a portion of sales generated is donated to a featured non-profit organization each month. The featured charity for the March event is My Sister’s House of Charleston, an organization that provides resources and services to women and their children in the tri-county area who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. Representatives from My Sister’s House will be at the event collecting non-perishable food items and sharing information about the services they provide to those in need in the greater community.
Food trucks participating in the March event include:
Squeals on Wheels
Ravenel Seafood #2
Holy City Cupcakes
The Ice Cream Lady
Seating at the Barn is available, but attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to stay and enjoy the afternoon music and activities. And don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items to donate to My Sister’s House this month!
