Food Trucks for Hope is a new monthly event at Carnes Crossroads that offers residents and visitors from around the region an opportunity enjoy an eclectic selection of food and beverage options, live music and family entertainment, all while supporting some of the area’s non-profit organizations. Free to the public, the event takes place on the second Sunday of each month behind the Green Barn from noon until 5:00 pm.
Each “Food Trucks for Hope” event brings 10 – 15 food trucks, activities for kids, live music and other family-friendly entertainment to the fields surrounding the Green Barn, and a portion of sales generated is donated to a featured non-profit organization each month. The featured charity for the April event is The Berkeley Animal Center. We will be collecting pet food and products, and members of the animal center will be on hand doing a pet adoption and penny drive. There will also be activities for the kids and live music.
Food trucks participating in the April event include:
Burgers N’ Freys
Damiano Wood Fire Pizza
Taco in a Bag
Bacon me Crazy
My Big Fat Greek Truck
The Holy City Cupcakes
Seating at the Barn is available, but attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to stay and enjoy the afternoon music and activities. And don’t forget to bring pet food and products to donate to The Berkeley Animal Center this month!
