The Goose Creek and Summerville SC Rotary clubs are among seven Charleston area Rotary clubs joining forces to hold the eighth annual Charity Duck Race on Daniel Island on Saturday, June 14. At 11:30 am, 30,000 of ducks will be dropped from the I-526 overpass into the Wando River, where they’ll race to a finish line on Daniel Island. If your duck is among the first 35 to cross the finish line, you’ll be the lucky winner of cash or other prizes. The first prize is a 2014 Toyota Camry!
Taking place at Children’s Park and the fishing pier on the Wando River on Daniel Island, the Charity Duck Race is a day of fun with something for everyone. Festivities begin at 8:30 am. There will be games, jump castles, face painting, music, food vendors and more! But you don’t have to be present to participate in the Duck Race – click here to adopt your ducks before it’s too late!
