Berkeley Hospital At Carnes Crossroads Opens October 4th!
September 16, 2019 | Around Town
After years of planning, Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital at Carnes Crossroads will start seeing patients on October 4, 2019 at the brand new facility off of Hwy. 176 in the heart of our community. Roper celebrated the opening of its newest facility with a sold-out Grand Opening Celebration on September 22, 2019 that took place on the hospital’s 90-acre campus. The 50-bed hospital shares the campus with a medical office building that opened last year and is already getting set to expand.
As a community hospital that serves Carnes Crossroads and the surrounding neighborhoods, Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital is an excellent new addition to our community. It’s one of four hospitals within the Roper St. Francis Healthcare system, which has a long-established reputation for quality healthcare service in the Charleston region. It’s the only not-for-profit healthcare system in the Lowcountry.
Initially approved for 50 beds, the hospital has room to expand once the need for additional facilities is demonstrated. Services offered initially will include: a 24-hour Emergency Department, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Diagnostics, Endocrinology, General Surgery, Imaging & Lab, Mother & Baby Center, Oncology, Orthopedics,Pulmonology, TherapyServices, Primary Care, Surgery Robotics and Urology.
