With Ashton Woods, Designing Your Home is as Easy as 1-2-3
April 6, 2017 | Real Estate
So you’ve found the perfect home plan and homesite at Carnes Crossroads. Now how do you go about designing a home that perfectly captures your personality and lifestyle? For buyers of Ashton Woods homes, it starts with a visit to their state-of-the-art design center, located on Daniel Island. The Studio by Ashton Woods opened its doors in 2014 for the purpose of making the home design process all-inclusive, fluid and stress-free. More than just a showroom, the personalized service is what sets The Studio apart.
Prior to your initial appointment you’ll be paired with an experienced professional design consultant who will preview your home plan and help guide you through The Ashton Woods Process—three steps for furnishing your new home:
Step 1: Collecting Inspiration
In this first step, almost anything goes. The Ashton Woods philosophy is that inspiration can come from anywhere, and Studio Manager Jennifer Alonso says that just about any influence can be incorporated into the design process.
“We ask people to bring in examples of the things they love—pictures of vacations, family and pets, magazine clippings, fabric swatches, Pinterest boards, whatever they feel inspired by. By learning as much as we can about the customer, we can better translate their personality and style into their home décor.”
Step 2: Exploring the Possibilities
Once your vision has been defined, you move on to the second step, which begins with visiting a showroom. It’s here that the Design Studio becomes an invaluable asset. Almost every type and variation of home finishing is on display, from kitchen and bath fixtures to countertops, cabinets and flooring. A wide range of styles and options are available to fit every taste and budget.
“Our customers love that instead of flipping through pages in a catalog, they can see the colors and feel the textures. It makes the process come alive,” says Jennifer.
Often, the entire tour can’t be made in one session and several follow-up appointments are not uncommon.
“We want to make sure that the customer never feels rushed,” says Jennifer. “These are big decisions and we want to take the time to get things just right.”
After the tour, most people are delighted to find that almost any look is achievable. Your design consultant will work with you to find just the right options that fit your style and work within your budget.
Step 3: Designing Your New Home
Once you have decided on the finishings and appointments, it’s on to the final step. It begins with a Preview and Pre-construction Orientation and continues through every step of the building process to ensure that everything is installed to your specifications and every detail is attended to.
“There is an extensive amount of personalization to an Ashton Woods home,” says Jennifer. “And we want our customers to know we’ll be there with them every step of the way.”
The Studio by Ashton Woods hosts special Preview Nights twice a month from 4:00 – 7:00. All are invited to take a tour, enjoy some refreshments and learn more about the Ashton Woods Process. Visit (website) for upcoming dates.
