Carnes Crossroads Gardeners Plant Exchange
Join Jack Soullier and other Carnes Crossroads Gardeners at the Green Barn for the first annual Plant Exchange on Saturday, March 24th from 9 AM to 11 AM. Mark your calendars to dig up some choice plant material to trade and meet new friends with this common interest. Bring your cup of hot coffee or tea as you enjoy sharing and gathering new gardening tips with Jack and other fellow residents.
Plants grow quickly here in the south with our great climate, so there is a need to divide and find new homes for our extra plants. If you have extra seedlings, divided plants, seeds, etc., come out to the Plant Exchange to trade, sell, or share. Jack will have items for sale listed between $1 and $5 or will trade for something new. Plan to bring your items in give-away type pots. One idea is to use some plastic pots that are being thrown away when a new home is being landscaped. Another idea to keep your soil moist and transport your plants is to use plastic bags around the roots.
If you have any questions, additional ideas for this event or suggestions, please email Jack at firstname.lastname@example.org.
